SB 2623 and SB 3085 defeated in committee!

The objectives of Mississippi Canine Coalition, Inc. are:

**to actively assist or participate in local, state and national legislation concerning dogs and dog owners;

**to bring such legislation to the attention of the members and to the general public;

**to promote responsible dog ownership; 

**to use all legal means to promote the general welfare of dogs and dog owners; and

**to disseminate information and knowledge regarding dogs. 

What's New?

SB 2623 and SB 3085 were defeated in committee.  MCCI supports the intent of these bills but not either bill as they were written. 

Mississippi needs a well-written animal cruelty bill that protects animals from abuse and also ensures that citizens' constitutional rights are not violated.
