Proud Supporter of Animal Welfare and Fierce Opponent of Animal Rights
Do you love your pets? Do you want to continue to enjoy their companionship without undue government inteference? Do you want to live in continuous fear of having them stolen by animal rights fanatics or corrupt animal shelter employees who use our state's unconstitutional seizure statute to violate your 4th, 5th and 14th Amendment rights? If you want to protect your pets, then it's time to get educated about the issues and get involved. Mississippi is under a full fledged attack from animal rights groups such as the Humane Society of the United States, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, In Defense of Animals, and others.
Most Mississippians know that PETA is a radical animal rights group though you may not know much about their track record for killing animals. Unfortunately, few of us realize that PETA is not a threat at all to our way of life compared to the threat posed by the HSUS (Humane Society of the United States). The animal rights groups are anti-agriculture, anti-hunting, anti-equine sports, anti-circus, anti-zoo, anti-medical research, and anti-pet ownership. Most of us who have spent our lives involved in hands on animal husbandry are proponents of animal "welfare". There is a huge difference between the two philosophies. Several books have been written to explain the difference and a number of articles are easily accessible on the internet that describe the war presently going on between the supporters of the two philosophies.
